Popular actress Aiko Melendez shared the result of her drug test and the reason why she is doing it every year.
Aside from her popularity as an effective actress, whether for antagonist or protagonist role, Aiko was also known as a public servant.
She was a Councilor in Quezon City for three terms. This goes to show that her constituents trusted her service for their city.
Now that she is concentrating on her showbiz career, Aiko Melendez also wants to set a good example to her fellow celebrities.
On her recent Instagram post, she said that her yearly drug test came from her advocacy to be a role model to other showbiz personalities.
She also said that illegal or prohibited drugs is rampant in the entertainment industry. This is her reason of having a drug test every year.
Aiko showed a photo of the result of her drug test and she is proud that it was negative.
Here is the caption of her post:
“It has always been my yearly habit, to get a drug test. I wanted to set an example to other actors. Well, sad truth is Am in industry where drugs are rampant. Thank God ang gobyerno naten madaming ginagawa para maiwas tayo sa masamang bisyo. Get high with God and not drugs.”
Because of this, many of her Instagram followers commended what she did.
