2 Binibining Pilipinas beauties are ready to represent Philippines in international pageants
Binibining Pilipinas beauties, Michele Gumabao and Eva Patalinjug, are ready to represent the Philippines in two international beauty pageants.
They went through rigid training for the competition.
Gumabao will represent the country in Miss Globe 2018 which will be held in Tirana, Albania on October 21.
She wants to follow the success of Ann Colis, who won the title in 2015 and Nelda Ibe who was hailed as the first runner-up last year.
Before her beauty pageant stint, she is considered as one of the fiercest volleyball players. Because of her passion in sports, she was inspired to put up the Michele Gumabao Volleyball Camp in 2012.
Gumabao trains 80 to 100 aspiring volleyball athletes nationwide, every year.
“I started the Michele Gumabao camp in 2012, for kids who want to learn volleyball, for kids who want to experience competitive volleyball that they don’t get to experience everyday,” she said.
Meanwhile, Eva Patalinjug is set to represent the country in Miss Grand International in October.
The pageant will be held in Myanmar. If Gumabao is an athlete, Patalinjug, on the other hand, is a registered nurse.
She also aims to become a lawyer and President of the country someday.
Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process named her as the Philippine peace ambassadress, based on the report in Manila Bulletin.
“As a national peace ambassador, it is my duty to inspire people to take part in making a difference in this world, to influence them to put in their hearts and minds that accepting each other’s difference is important for us to attain peace and unity,” Patalinjug said.
