Marcoses’ Long Island Estate Now Turned Bed-And-Breakfast Is Up For Auction

LONG ISLAND ESTATE – The Long Island Estate that belonged to the Marcoses is currently auctioned, according to one of the participating brokers.

Corazon Rivera of the Bona Tierra realty company said that the said waterfront property has a great view of Moriches Bay. She further said in an interview that the mansion was converted into a bed-and-breakfast. Here are the following features:

eight guest rooms with water views;
nine individual guest rooms with en-suite baths;
1 three-bedroom family suites;
1 two-bedroom suite;
Updated bathrooms;
Finished attic; and
And a glass pool house

The auction is set for September 13, 2018. It will be held at the NY LaGuardia Airport Marriott located on Ditmas Blvd. in East Elmhurst in Queens.

A recent report in Inquirer said that the starting bid is $2.1 million. Rivera said that the mansion was worth $4 million when it was appraised in 2017. She further added that the participants should have a certified check of at least $250,000.

A flier states that the mansion is currently undergoing renovations which worth at least $1 million. Rivera said that whoever buys the property could use it as a private mansion or a bed-and-breakfast. Regardless, the mansion is being renovated as a bed-and-breakfast.

As per the report, Rivera revealed that couple of Filipino buyers have expressed interest in the property. She did not expose their identity but confirmed that the couple was neither Chinese nor political families.

Rivera later said that it does not matter to people if the property is owned by the Marcoses, as long as they see it as a good investment.
