Regine Velasquez Reacts To Duterte’s Statements About God
REGINE VELASQUEZ – The Philippines’ Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez expressed her request for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte following his controversial statements about God.
Undeniably, Pres. Duterte’s straightforward statements never fail to elicit reactions since before. He has always been stern in giving warnings most especially to the politicians that are negatively using their power and for the people who are related to drugs.
However, recently, the 73-year-old President has spoken statements that have something to do with the religious aspect. Based on a report, in a speech, he spoke his side about the Creation Story in the Bible. Lots of people reacted to his statement.
Based on a recent report on Pep, during his speech at the 2018 National Science and Technology Week program, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte clarified that he believes in “one Supreme God”.
According to the President, he is a human who believes that there is a “universal mind somewhere which controls the universe”. He also gave out a challenge to the people.
“If there is anyone of you there, the noisy ones, who would say that you have been to heaven and talked to God, just one personally, and that He exists, the God that is yours, and if it’s true, I will step down the presidency tonight,” the national said according to the report.
Recently, through her social media account, singer Regine Velasquez expressed her request to Pres. Rodrigo Duterte following his statements about God.
In her Tweets, Regine Velasquez admitted that she is sad. She expressed her request to Pres. Duterte not to involve God in politics. She stressed that many people are believing in God. Here is the series of tweets of the Asia’s Songbird.
