Mike Enriquez Reacts To Gap Rumors Between Him and Mel Tiangco
MIKE ENRIQUEZ – Kapuso news anchor Mike Enriquez broke his silence on the rumors that there is a gap between him and his fellow Kapuso news anchor Mel Tiangco.
Two of the most prominent news anchors of the GMA-7 network are Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco. They are among those who are really veterans when it comes to news reporting as proven by their length of stay in the field.
Currently, Mike and Mel are both part of the Kapuso newscast show 24 Oras alongside with Vicky Morales. It was in 2004 when the show’s first episode was aired on Philippine television.
However, recently, there are rumors that two of 24 Oras’ news reporters, Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco, are not really in good terms and there is a gap between the two of them.
Based on a report in MSN Entertainment citing LionhearTV’s report, Mike Enriquez recently broke his silence on the rumors and put down the issue that there is a gap between him and Mel Tiangco. He even managed to throw a joke at the rumors.
According to the Kapuso news anchor, the rumors are not true and ‘gap’ remains to be a brand of clothing.
Other Kapuso personalities who are also part of the same field, Arnold Clavio, Joel Reyes Zobel, and Ali Sotto also revealed how they know him.
Arnold stressed that one thing that he really admires about Mike Enriquez is his honesty. According to him, Mike is really honest and he and Joel have already experienced it.
“Kung may sasabihin ka sa kanya, tapatin mo siya, magiging best friend mo siya,” he said.
Based on the report, for her part, Ali Sotto expressed that the “endearing quality” of Mike for her is that he does not make her feel his superiority. According to her, Mike believing in her is his best gift for her and she credited her being in the radio now because of him.
“Mike is a very strict boss but he is a very, very good friend. Hanggang ngayon, malaki ang utang na loob ko kay Mike,” Joel said.
According to him, Mike Enriquez is the one who gave him the biggest break in his career and he will forever be thankful for it.
