MMDA Suspends Number Coding in Metro Manila On Monday (March 19)
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has suspended the number coding in Metro Manila due to transport strike.
On Monday (March 19, 2018), the implementation of number coding in Metro Manila has temporarily suspended due to the transport strike implicated by the transport group ‘PISTON’.
Parañaque City and Makati City were covered by the suspension of number coding, while Las Piñas City hasn’t received any notice from the agency, according to MMDA.
Meanwhile, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said that they had already deployed over 2, 000 policemen in Metro Manila to ensure the peace and order during the transport strike.
NCRPO Chief Oscar Albayalde also assured that they will not prohibit the move of the jeepney drivers and operator but they only need to make sure that the transport strike will be peaceful.
