Binibining Pilipinas Nelda Ibe is the Miss Globe 2017 First Runner-Up
Another Pinay beauty queen proved that Filipinos are truly global when it comes to this aspect as Binibinang Pilipinas Nelda Ibe got the second spot in Miss Globe 2017.
The beauty queen from Tarlac makes Filipinos proud once again for being the first runner up in the international competition which was held in Tirana, Albania on November 3 (Nov. 4 in Philippine time).
Do Tran Khanh Ngan, the representative from Vietnam got the Miss Globe 2017 crown, said in a report of Manila Bulletin.
Other countries who got the top spots are Miss Siberia Elena Latypova as the second runner-up, Miss Albania Alessia Coku as the third runner-up and Miss Cape Verde as the fourth runner-up.
In the previous years, beauty queens who represented the Philippines in Miss Globe 2017 also finished the beauty pageant with prestige.
Back in 2015 Philippines’ bet to the international pageant, Ann Lorraine Collis won as Miss Globe 2015 while last year’s representative Nichole Manalo landed on third runner-up, said in a report.
Nelda Ibe is an addition to the achievement of the country in this field of competition.
She is no ordinary beauty and brains because she is also a certified Cadet Pilot in Alpha Aviation Group and her passion for flying urged her to be a pilot even though she took up Bachelor of Arts in English major in Literature in college.
The Pinay beauty queen said in an article in Norman’s Blog that she loves to be challenged and she likes to go beyond the normal things such as being a female pilot, a profession which is mostly dominated by men.
Ibe also shared that the traits that best describe her are determined, focused, fearless and goal-oriented, these are perhaps what she carried into the competition and end up as Miss Globe 2017 first runner-up.
