“Mocha vs. Chocolate” Post Of Senator Sonny Angara Called By Netizens As Act Of Discrimination
Senator Sonny Angara posted “Mocha vs Chocolate” referring to Mocha Uson and Nancy Binay on his Twitter account called by netizen as discrimination.
Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment on the difference of things or people, especially on nationality, age, gender, skin complexion, and other differences. It is an inhumane act, which is not appropriate to be used whether intentional or as a joke.
Nowadays, there is numerous case of discrimination happening not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world.
Recently, the government has proposed an anti-discrimination act that will prohibit discrimination. The bill also aims to file corresponding charges against the violators.
On Tuesday (October 03, 2017), the Filipino Senator Juan Edgardo Manalang Angara or popularly known as Sonny Angara was lambasted by the netizens after posting “Mocha vs Chocolate na ba Sen @nancybinay #itson”
The controversial post of the lawmaker was referring to PCOO Asec Mocha Uson and Senator Nancy Binay.
The post of Angara came after Binay gives a message to Uson saying “It’s high time for you to decide kung gusto mong maging ASec. o gusto mong maging blogger.”
