The Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has joined Real Madrid on a loan. The period is expected to last till the end of the month. It is expected that Adebayor will travel to Spain for a medical this Wednesday. Real Madrid can also avail the option of buying the 26 year old striker after the loan term expires.
Prior to Manchester City, Adebayor played as a striker in Arsenal. The £25m deal brought Adebayor to Manchester City in 2009. He has scored 19 goals in 36 league and cup starts for his club. He is the second highest striker after Robinho for Manchester City. The common thing between both the strikers is their move to different clubs. Robinho moved to AC Milan in the last sixth months and now Emmanuel Adebayor is the second highest striker to move in sixth moths period.
It is believed that Adebayor will play the Champions league and La Liga as well. If the spell of the player works efficiently than the player can avail the opportunity of a permanent transfer to Real Madrid on a rumored amount of approximately £15m.
His stay at Manchester City has been sensational and his transfer will definitely leave a gap in the tag team of Tevez and City may look for options as well. The former manager Mark Hughes had signed the 26 year old from Arsenal for a £25m.
