Ronaldo Ravelo becomes the first Filipino-American captain of the US aircraft carrier leading up to 2, 500 service members.

Ravelo was the first Filipino-American to become the captain of US aircraft carrier. He will lead about 2, 5000 service members at the largest aircraft carriers in the United States, but he does think that he is more special that the rest of the officers.
Ravelo was a son of a retired US navy chief who came from the Philippines. Ravelo relieved Capt. Karl Thomas, as commander of the USS Abraham Lincoln –a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. Thomas was Ravelo’s brother-in-law or the husband his sister Jeniffer.
