Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo amused netizens with her entry for the ‘Oooh Lala Baby’ dance challenge.
The incumbent Naga City Mayor served as the 14th Vice President of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022. Prior to her political career, she worked for the Public Attorney’s Office and served as the Bicol coordinator for SALIGAN, an NGO offering legal support and education to marginalized sectors.
Robredo officially entered politics when she was elected as the Representative for the 3rd District of Camarines Sur in 2013, winning by a landslide victory.
After serving as Vice President, she returned to local politics and was elected as the Mayor of Naga City. Her supporters have been encouraging her to return to the national government. There have been calls for her to run for president.
However, based on the most recent statement that the Mayor had regarding this, she said that she just wanted to remain in Naga City, and that she has no plan to run for a national position in 2028.
