Win Gatchalian was asked about these two women
Senator Win Gatchalian reacts to the message from his ex-girlfriend, actress Bianca Manalo, and to his “WinRi” tandem with Senator Risa Hontiveros.
To recall, early this year, Gatchalian said in a statement that his love life is non-existent, which confirmed his breakup with Bianca.
It was also confirmed in a recent statement from Sparkle GMA Artist Center, saying that Bianca is single, amid being linked to the father of Celeste Cortesi’s baby.
Despite their separation, Bianca Manalo shared her message expressing that she is proud of Sen. Win Gatchalian after he was elected as the new Senate President.
“Will forever be proud of you!!!! Well deserved! It’s about time! The country needs you!!!” the Kapuso actress said in her post.
In a radio interview on June 19, 2026, based on the article in Balita, Gatchalian said that he is thankful to Bianca, as well as to the Filipinos. “Nagpapasalamat ako, of course, kay Bianca. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa lahat,” he said.
During the interview, the Senator was also asked about fans’ shipping him and Hontiveros. The Senate President admitted that he felt “kilig.”
Their supporters are calling them the WinRi tandem. “‘WinRi’ po pala ang tawag. Kinikilig kayo na may loveteam kayo, SP?’ journalist Alvin Elchico enthused.
Sen. Win Gatchalian that he gushed over this. “Syempre kinikilig din dahil na-associate ka sa isang magaling na tao,” he said. Then, Elchico teased the Senator that he was blushing. “Kayo talaga,” the Senate President responded.
Meanwhile, in a statement after he was formally elected as the new Senate President, Gatchalian clarified that it is not yet final if Sen. Chiz Escudero would be the presiding officer of the impeachment court. To recall, the House of Representatives has once again impeached Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and the people are waiting for the Senate to act on this.
