Kris Lawrence is not wasting this “second chance” from Katrina Halili.
In a social media post, singer Kris Lawrence openly expressed his feelings for Kapuso actress Katrina Halili.
R&B singer Kris Lawrence shared a cinematic video of Kapuso actress Katrina Halili taken during their recent trip to Hong Kong with their daughter, Katie.
“You’re probably watching this while I’m on the plane, but I just want you to know, these past few months have been something special,” he wrote in the caption, adding that the past few months have been special to him as he got to know her all over again.
Getting to know her all over again is something unforgettable for him. Kris also shared that he would miss the time they spent together while he is away from the Philippines, assuring her that she will always be on his mind while he is away.
Kris is currently on tour in the United States and Canada. He said, “And until I’m back, just know you’re on my mind.”
Kris and Katrina, who ended their relationship in 2014 after five years together, share a daughter named Katie. Earlier this year, the former couple rekindled their friendship and focused on strengthening their co-parenting partnership. According to Kris, the renewed arrangement has had a positive impact not only on their family dynamic but also on Katie’s overall well-being.
In an interview with Hot Takes, he was asked about the current real score between them after their trip together to Palawan sparked speculations about a rekindled romance. At that time, they were not officially back together. They were just simply grateful for the better setup they have now.
When asked whether he would be willing to give love another chance now that things are going well, Kris admitted that he already finds himself in a situation he never imagined he would return to.
“I mean, I’m already here, right? I think the fact that Kat let me in – because last year was a rough year, it was a super rough year. I think she was going through something. I just wasn’t given the chance to be there for Katie. But this year, whatever clicked in her head and let her make the decision [she did it]. You know what, let’s let bygones be bygones and magtulungan tayo for Katie,” he expressed.
Asked about the possibility of rekindling their romance, Kris Lawrence stopped short of confirming anything, saying he and Katrina Halili are simply allowing things to develop naturally.
