14-Year-Old PWD Lost His Life After Alleged Beating by Six Minors

A 14-year-old boy with a disability lost his life after he was allegedly beaten by six minors on an overpass in Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City.

According to the victim’s mother, 42-year-old Lecille Tabinas, her son had simply asked permission to go out with a friend on June 5, 2026. The two were supposed to meet someone to exchange shorts.

However, after the meeting ended and the other person left, the two friends were reportedly attacked and beaten.

The family only learned about the incident after receiving a call from the police informing them that the boy had been rushed to the hospital in critical condition. When his mother arrived, she found her son badly injured and covered in blood.

His eyes were severely swollen, and he was struggling because of the injuries he had suffered.

Despite efforts to save him, the teenager’s condition continued to worsen. He reportedly began vomiting blood and eventually became unable to speak or open his eyes. Early the next morning, he passed away due to the severe injuries he sustained during the attack.

“’Yung nalaman ko, nakita ko po siya doon na punong-puno na po ng dugo. Tsaka magang-maga ‘yung mata niya. Hindi ko po kaya tingnan. Sabi ko, ‘bakit nak?’ Sabi niya, ‘sorry Mama.’ Humingi po siya ng sorry, sorry po. Sabi ko, ‘bakit, sinong gumawa nito sa iyo?’ Sabi niya, ‘sorry Ma.’ ‘Yun na po, susuka na po siya ng dugo,” the victim’s mother said.

His mother described him as a kind, respectful, and obedient child. Although the minors involved have reportedly asked for forgiveness, she remains determined to pursue justice for her son. She said no amount of money could replace the life that was taken from their family.

Following a complaint from the victim’s aunt, barangay officials and police officers immediately responded to the incident. Authorities located on the six minors who were identified as the alleged attackers and brought them to the barangay hall for investigation.

According to officials, the youth initially denied any involvement in the incident. Barangay BF Homes officials said they have handled youth-related disputes and curfew violations in the past, but this was the first time a violent incident in the area resulted in the death of a victim.

Officials also reminded parents to closely monitor their children’s activities and whereabouts to help prevent similar incidents. The six minors involved are now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development at Bahay Pag-asa while the case is being processed.
