She and her partner, Daniel Miranda, lean more on gentleness, consistency, and respect as their parenting style. These are the same values they would like Zoe to learn as she grows up.
Recently, reflecting on both life and motherhood, Andres found herself caught in mixed emotions and quiet contemplation. She has come to realize that time moves faster than expected. What once felt like exhausting nights and first steps has now turned into school days, independence, and a child slowly discovering the world on her own.
She also has self-doubts, wondering if she is doing enough or if she is becoming the kind of mother her daughter truly deserves. It’s a silent battle many parents face and know all too well, but she also fully acknowledges that motherhood does not come with a single blueprint.
“Some days I wonder if I’m doing enough, if I’m being the kind of mom she deserves. I know every mother has her own way… and mine will never look like anyone else’s. But all I know is.. she gave me a kind of strength I didn’t even know I had,” she wrote.
With Zoe, she found a strength she never knew existed, and through the years, she has come to realize that what they have now is a shared journey of growth. Raising a child demands patience, sacrifice, and a willingness to keep learning along the way, but simple, fleeting instances make everything worthwhile for the pure joy it brings.
As Zoe turns another year older, she is reminded that growth goes both ways.
