Previously, former couple Katrina Halili and Kris Lawrence took time to “reset” and spent time in Palawan with their daughter Katie. Their post immediately gained attention online, igniting speculations of a rekindled romance.
Katrina and Kris sparked relationship rumors because of their posts, but recently, they finally set the record straight, ending the speculations.
According to the former couple who got separated in 2014, they have reconnected; however, it is not in a romantic way. The reset they talked about was the reset of their friendship. After many years, it was the first time that they spent time together again.
“Reset ng friendship…kasi first time lang din namin nagbonding non eh,” Katrina said.
Kris expressed a direct answer during their interview in Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, saying, “No, we have not. Hindi kami nagkabalikan Tito Boy.”
They then went on to share a positive shift in their family dynamic, particularly in how it has affected their daughter, Katie. The singer expressed gratitude for the renewed connection between him and Katrina, noting that since they reconciled in 2026, he has seen the happiest and most improved version of their child.
Their child has since had a more genuine smile, a lighter demeanor, and an improved overall sense of happiness. Kris said, “Her smile has been more genuine. Yung kilos niya mas gumanda. You could just tell that she’s so much happier. We’re doing this all for Katie. Where the road leads, we don’t know. But at least, it’s fine.”
Katie also wants to see them become affectionate again, but both Kris and Katrina treat the idea lightly.
