Eman Pacquiao Shuts Down Dream Fight W/ Jimuel & Reveals Why
EMAN PACQUIAO – The idea of a Pacquiao versus Pacquiao showdown may excite fans, but for Eman, it is a line he refuses to cross.
Filipino boxing fans may be excited about a potential showdown between the Pacquiao brothers, but for Eman Bacosa Pacquiao, that idea is something he firmly rejects. The young boxer recently addressed calls for a match against his half-brother Jimuel Pacquiao, making it clear that such a fight is not something he is willing to entertain.
During his guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Thursday, April 16, 2026, Eman spoke candidly about the issue. Despite growing buzz online and increasing curiosity from fans, he emphasized that stepping into the ring against his own brother would bring no real joy or fulfillment.
“Kapatid ko siya, walang kasiyahan na mangyayari doon kung matalo o manalo man sa kapatid mo,” said Eman.
He further explained that not only is he against the idea, but he also believes their father, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, would disapprove of such a matchup. For Eman, the emotional toll of a brother-versus-brother fight outweighs any possible fame or excitement it could generate.
“Siyempre ayaw din yun ni dad, ayoko rin masaktan si daddy doon,” said Eman.
The young boxer even took a moment to express his affection for Jimuel, shutting down any notion of rivalry between them.
“I really love you, kuya!”
The topic resurfaced after both brothers scored impressive knockout victories in separate bouts. In February 2026, Eman defeated Indonesian boxer Reynold Kundimang via knockout, while Jimuel secured his first professional win on April 4 against American opponent Darrick Gates. Their individual successes fueled speculation about a possible clash, drawing attention across social media.
Eman first gained wider public attention in October 2025 following his participation in the historic Thrilla in Manila 2.0 event, where many began recognizing him not just for his skills but also as the son of the “Pacman.”
Born in 2004, Eman is Manny Pacquiao’s son with Joanna Rose Bacaso, whom the boxing icon met in 2003. Despite the unconventional family setup, reports indicate that Jinkee Pacquiao has accepted Eman warmly, even encouraging the family to watch his fights.
While fans may continue to speculate, Eman has made his stance crystal clear: family comes first, far above any fight inside the ring.
