In 2026, actress Nadine Samonte and her non-showbiz husband, Richard Chua, have plans to renew their wedding vows. Last year, the “StarStruck” alumna said that Chua asked for her hand in marriage again on April Fools’ Day, which she initially tried not to take seriously.
To recall, Samonte and Chua tied the knot in 2013 in a private farm ceremony in Zambales. Three years later, they welcomed their first child, Titus, followed by their second child, Harmony, in 2021.
Recently, ahead of their upcoming vow renewal to mark their 13th wedding anniversary, the actress opened up about her husband’s loyalty, sharing that it has always given her a deep sense of security.
“Wala siyang dapat alalahanin. Ever. Alam niya yun from day one,” her husband said recently during an interview, when they were asked about their current setup, which is a little complicated. The actress admitted that she lacks time for her husband, given her responsibilities in their home and in her career.
However, having a loyal and supportive husband makes all the difference.
“Kasi lagi niyang sinasabi sa akin, ‘I will always give you that peace of mind.’ Every time na may pupuntahan siya, naka-video call yan sa akin, nakatawag yan sa kin. Ganun siya,” she expressed.
Nadine admitted that while she sometimes feels a bit uneasy around women who seem overly friendly with her husband, she stays honest about those feelings. But her husband consistently reassures her. He knows his boundaries and assures her through words and actions.
Because of this, she feels secure and considers herself lucky to have a loyal and dependable partner.
