Richard Gutierrez Breaks Silence On Working Again W/ Angel Locsin
RICHARD GUTIERREZ – Actor Richard Gutierrez recently sparked buzz after naming Angel Locsin as the leading lady he wants to reunite with.
Actor Richard Gutierrez recently expressed his desire to reunite onscreen with his former love team partner, Angel Locsin, sparking excitement among longtime fans of the popular “ChardGel” tandem.
During a recent episode of the hostless online talk show Stars on Stars by Jeepney TV, actress Barbie Imperial asked Richard which among his previous leading ladies he would like to work with again. Without hesitation, the actor is Angel Locsin.
“Siguro si Angel Locsin,” he said.
Richard also shared his hopes for Angel’s return to the entertainment industry, saying, “We’re all waiting for her comeback. Sana ‘pag nag-comeback si Angel, makagawa kami ng isang project,” highlighting not only his admiration for his former co-star but also his anticipation for her comeback.
It can be recalled that Angel has kept a low profile since the conclusion of the 2022 national elections, rarely making public appearances. However, fans have recently felt glimpses of her presence online, especially after her adopted son, Joaquin Arce, joined Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.
Meanwhile, Barbie expressed her approval of Richard’s answer, noting that the enduring popularity of the “ChardGel” love team is undeniable. According to her, many fans still hope to see the two stars reunite in a new project.
In fact, both Barbie and Angel’s husband, Neil Arce, are supportive of the idea. “Actually, pati kami ni Neil Arce. Kami na ang managers ninyo,” Barbie joked, adding a lighthearted touch to the conversation.
Richard and Angel previously worked together on several successful projects, including Mulawin, Kuya, Sigaw, Let The Love Begin, and I Will Always Love You, among others.
Although the two once shared a mutual understanding, their relationship never developed into something formal. Still, their undeniable chemistry continues to live on in the hearts of fans, many of whom remain hopeful for a long-awaited reunion project featuring the beloved tandem.
