Alex Eala Opens Up About Life On Tour & The Simple Joys That Keep Her Grounded
ALEX EALA – Rising tennis star Alex Eala is not just focused on winning matches but also on living life to the fullest.
Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala is proving that even amid the intensity of professional competition, there is still room to enjoy life beyond the court. Currently competing in the Miami Open, the 20-year-old athlete shared how she balances the demands of her career with moments of relaxation and self-expression.
Speaking during an interview, Eala emphasized the importance of managing her time wisely, especially during a long and grueling season. While tennis remains her top priority, she acknowledged the need to maintain a sense of normalcy and joy in her daily routine.

“I think, you know, time management for me, I think, is super key, and at the end of the day, I need to have fun on tour and I feel like, you know, I’m 20. I need to live my life. Like, not my whole life is tennis, even though sometimes, I mean, I think that sometimes it is, but that’s why I’m working on, to have a life outside of tennis, you know, enjoy it. super, super important, because the season is long, and we’re only in March,” Eala said.
Despite her busy schedule, Eala finds small ways to unwind and recharge. She revealed that simple activities help her take her mind off the pressures of competition.
“I like going on matcha runs. I like shopping. I like nature, like, I like going to the beach and stuff, but those, I need a little bit more time. It doesn’t happen as often as I would like it to,” she shared.
Her love for shopping, in particular, reflects her personal style, though she admitted she has not made any major purchases lately. Still, she has a soft spot for certain luxury items.
“I’m a sucker for a good bag, yeah,” Eala added. “I’d love to have a Birkin. I mean, yes, I’d love one, but we’ll see. It’s a hell of a bag.”
