Daniel Fernando showed no injuries in recent appearance
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando made a public appearance on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium amid the allegation that he was beaten up by a high-ranking official.
This came after the allegation originally sparked by columnist Ramon Tulfo that the governor was physically assaulted by a high-ranking official following a reported road incident on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on February 21.
According to Tulfo, Fernando was pissed when a car overtook his convoy. The vehicle was blocked, and the driver was allegedly apprehended; however, it was found out that the supposed driver was the son of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Vinni Marcos.

Tulfo also said that Gov. Daniel Fernando wrote an apology letter to the President, and that he was forgiven, but a high-ranking official allegedly physically assaulted the governor for what happened.
Even though the Malacañang Palace denied the reports of harassment involving the President’s son, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla said that there had been reports against Fernando’s attitude, based on the article in PEP.
“Naging ugali na ni Governor Fernando na pag nabiyahe siya ng NLEX ay apat na lane ang occupied niya na walang puwedeng mag-overtake. So, ang dami na naming nakuhang complaint na ganoon na masyado siyang makahari sa lugar niya,” Remulla said. He also stressed that it did not matter if the other party was the president’s son or not.

Amid the allegation that he was physically assaulted and that his face was swollen, Fernando made a public appearance for the release of scholarship grants to a new batch of student beneficiaries during a ceremony at the Capitol Gymnasium on February 26.
18,000 youth scholars received the scholarship grant through LandBank ATM accounts. During the event, Fernando did not address the alleged road rage incident. He chose not to answer the members of the media when he was asked about this.
However, it can be noticed that during that public appearance, Daniel Fernando showed no visible signs of physical assault or injuries.
