Belle Mariano took a big leap for new journey in music
Gen Z Superstar Belle Mariano talked about her music career as she officially launched her first album.
Belle has started a new journey in the entertainment industry, and this time, it is focused on her love for music. For many years, the young actress had showcased her acting skills. Just recently, she officially began her singing career.
Before she ever stepped in front of a camera, Belle found her voice through videoke sessions at home.

Belle Mariano credited these childhood moments for nurturing her passion for music and giving her the “practice” needed to keep her dreams alive, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment.
“I grew up using the videoke, parang ‘yun yung naging practice ko, sa totoo lang. As in laking videoke talaga ako. So parang hindi siya nawala sa akin, I’ve always wanted to pursue music,” the actress-singer shared.
While acting has been her life for over ten years, Belle finds that music, which she started just four years ago, offers a more personal outlet. To her, music is a space where she can be completely herself, making it a deeply fulfilling and therapeutic creative process.
“Sobrang iba niya sa acting kasi feeling ko [kapag] acting, meron nang character, naka-plot [na] ‘yung story ng character mo, alam mo na ‘yung pupuntahan. Pero sa music kasi ikaw ‘yung magna-navigate ng story mo on your own which is so nice [kasi] para siyang nagiging diary. And ang ganda kasi nung thought na we’re able to translate our emotions through music. I’ve always loved [that] idea [coming from] sa karaoke dreams ko,” she explained.

Which is more challenging? Belle said both. She explained that acting and singing have different sets of challenges. When it comes to acting, Belle said that eyes are used, and in singing, the emotions are felt. Recording the songs, she shared that they had a fun time, because it is a happy album.
Belle Mariano also said that the songs in the album go beyond inspiration. She stressed that the main focus of the tracks was relatability. “Love is a universal language so parang gusto lang namin na ‘yung listeners namin to feel kilig, to feel love, and that’s the tone of the album,” she said.
The actress was not the one who wrote the songs in her albu Like You, but she expressed that she has high hopes that someday, she will be able to write her own songs.
