Rita Daniela signed a contract with Viva Artist Agency
Actress-singer Rita Daniela explained her reason for leaving Sparkle GMA Artist Center and her decision to sign with Viva Artist Agency (VAA).
Rita started her career in the entertainment industry in the Kapuso network. Over the years, she showcased her talent not just in singing but also in acting. She started her showbiz journey when she joined Pop Star Kids.
Just recently, rumors surfaced that Rita will leave GMA. It was because of her guest appearance on the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, which is now airing on TV5. Reportedly, her contract with GMA has ended.

Based on the recent article in PEP, Rita Daniela officially signed a contract with Viva Artist Agency. During the contract signing event, the actress-singer was asked about her decision to change her management.
Rita said that this was a career move for her because she wanted to try new things. “I really just want to explore new opportunities po talaga ‘coz we all know that Viva has a lot of platforms right now and siyempre, they produce concerts, they have musicals, they do series, which is I heard… Viva Movie Box and Viva One,” she said. She expressed excitement for the new path that she wanted to take.
However, she admitted that leaving the Kapuso management was not easy for her. On the other hand, Rita stressed that she did not directly leave GMA since Viva artists are allowed to work with other networks.

“I can still work po sa iba’t ibang network, pero isa po yon sa importante sa akin na gagalaw po ako sa isang lugar na alam kong it also feels home,” the actress-singer explained.
Rita’s decision to transfer to VAA also involved her late father, Red Valdez, who is a former employee of Viva. “Malaking bagay po yon sa akin na siguro kahit papaano, kapag nandito ako, alam kong kasama ko siya,” she shared.
Rita Daniela also said that she is still open to working with GMA 7. With her new contract with VAA, the actress-singer hoped that her dream of having her solo concert would come true.
She said that with her 20 years in the entertainment industry, she was not yet able to have her major solo concert. Rita added that she knows everything happens for a reason and perfect timing is important.
“Alam ko po that God blessed me with this because God blessed me with great and right people para po talagang sobrang magiging special ‘yung first ever concert ko,” she added.
