The issue began after Alvin criticized the gender identity of Izzy Trazona’s child, Sofia, and opposed the SexBomb reunion. Gary V emphasized that sharing the truth does not need to be painful, especially if it causes emotional harm to others.
Amid the growing noise on social media, “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano expressed his thoughts to Alvin Aragon. This came after Alvin’s interview went viral, where he reportedly used his religion to criticize his spouse’s child and the life decisions that followed.
Alvin Aragon, a former actor known from StarStruck, recently made headlines for condemning the gender identity of Sofia Trazona, the trans woman daughter of his spouse, Izzy Trazona. Additionally, he controversially stated that the “Lord” supposedly caused Izzy to resign from the SexBomb Girls because it no longer aligned with their Christian faith.
As a fellow Christian, Gary V shared his perspective. Instead of judging, he chose to reflect on his own mistakes when he was still new to his faith.
“I was once a Christian honeymooning with the Lord. I was like that— ‘you will go to hell!’” Gary admitted.
The singer-actor explained that over time, he realized that the way a message is delivered is as important as the message itself. He stressed that using the Bible or religion to hurt or intimidate others is not the right path.
“It took me time to learn that the truth even if it hurts, you don’t have to make it hurt more. It hurts enough already,” he added.
Gary’s statement serves as a reminder to many that true faith should be rooted in understanding rather than judgment.
For now, Alvin remains silent on Gary’s message, while Sofia Trazona continues to stand firm in her identity, proudly embracing her life as a trans woman despite criticism from her stepfather.
