Actor-director Coco Martin confirmed in an interview that his top-rated series, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” will end on March 13, 2026.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” celebrated its 3rd anniversary this year. To recall, it premiered on February 13, 2023, as a series adaptation of the movie originally starred by late Fernando Poe Jr.

Last year, rumors circulated that the series was about to end, leaving viewers increasingly anxious. Hints were also picked up by fans from this statement of actor-director Coco Martin during one of his speeches:

Kasi lahat tayo dito, naghirap. Lahat tayo dito, nagtulong-tulong.”

Some viewers compared the show’s seemingly shorter run to Coco’s previous long-running series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, which aired for nearly seven years.

Recently, the series’ lead star and director have made it official. Coco confirmed that FPJBQ will end on March 13, 2026. He explained that when he started changing the story and the characters, he felt that this might already be as far as Tanggol’s life in Quiapo can go.

He added that this might be the furthest limit he can take Tanggol’s character.

He also believed that even from the start, he always knew that he would never surpass the record of “Ang Probinsyano.”
