Andrea Brillantes appears to be starting 2026 on a happy note after she welcomed the New Year alongside her rumored non-showbiz boyfriend, Pankie Capistrano, during a major countdown event in Taguig.
Brillantes and Capistrano rang in 2026 together at the BGC’s NYE at the 5th countdown party, as seen in a photo shared on Capistrano’s Instagram Story on Thursday, Jan. 1. The image quickly caught the attention of fans and netizens, as it showed the two standing close to each other while enjoying the performance of SB19.
In another photo from the same evening, the rumored couple appeared to be having a great time as they danced with friends amid the festive atmosphere. Capistrano simply captioned the post with, “Happy New Year!!” — a short message that nonetheless fueled speculation about the real score between him and the Kapamilya star.
Rumors linking Brillantes and Capistrano have been circulating for weeks, especially after the two were spotted together on several occasions. Among these sightings was a Christmas celebration attended by Capistrano’s family, further sparking talk that their relationship may be getting more serious.
Brillantes also seemingly gained the approval of Capistrano’s mother, as evidenced by a TikTok video where the actress and Capistrano’s mom joined the viral “Chanel” dance challenge together. The clip delighted fans and added to the growing buzz surrounding their rumored romance.
Capistrano is a 21-year-old internet personality from Lucban, Quezon, who reportedly comes from a prominent family that owns several businesses in the area. He is also an athlete, having played basketball in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) for teams such as the Enderun Titans and the San Juan Knights, according to reports.
Brillantes, for her part, was previously linked to Ricci Rivero and Seth Fedelin. Despite the ongoing relationship rumors, the actress has been thriving professionally. Some of her notable 2025 milestones include fronting the 2026 calendar of a popular liquor brand, signing a contract with MQuest Ventures, being chosen as the first Filipina ambassador of Guess, and showcasing her comedic side in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Rekonek.”
