This is how Coco Martin and Julia Montes manage their investments.
As a long-term couple, Coco Martin and Julia Montes were able to create a set-up to peacefully manage their finances and businesses.
Celebrities Coco Martin and Julia Montes are not just partners in life and on-screen—they are also business partners. After being together for more than a decade, they have already figured out how to divide their responsibilities to make things work behind the scenes when it comes to their businesses.
While both are respected actors, producers, and entrepreneurs, their roles in this aspect differ, but they have a balance. According to Coco, he focuses primarily on creative and production aspects of their ventures, while Julia takes the lead on financial management and budgets.
“Pagdating sa finances, masasabi ko pagdating sa money matters, si Julia na [pinapa-handle] ko diyan. Kasi sabi ko strength ko is creative eh: directing, writing, ganyan tapos pagma-manage sa production. Pero pagdating sa finances, sa lahat ng babayaran, si Juls na [pinapa-handle] ko para hati kami,” he shared in an interview.
He added that handling the financial aspect simultaneously with the creative aspect would affect his creativity. He finds this difficult and would rather focus on being creative.
Apart from being producers of Batang Quiapo, they also ventured into other businesses. They have a dishwashing liquid business, a food business, and others. These smaller businesses show that they have a shared interest in entrepreneurship and in exploring other opportunities that are outside their career in the entertainment industry.
Previously, Martin shared that these ventures in small businesses are their way to secure a future beyond showbiz. He acknowledged the reality that their work as actors won’t run well forever. He is aware that their showbiz career won’t stay for good, hence, the business ventures they do, which become successful because of their teamwork.
