Mika Salamanca to have her first MMFF entry
Actress-singer Mika Salamanca talked about working with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry Call Me Mother.
Aside from this, Mika is set to have her upcoming series The Secrets of Hotel 88 alongside her fellow PBB housemates. More blessings have poured over Mika after she was hailed as the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition winner.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Mika talked about her new projects.
The singer-actress admitted that she felt pressured about her upcoming series. “Sobra akong napressure. Pressured and inspired,” the former PBB housemate said.
However, when it comes to her movie with Vice and Nadine, Mika Salamanca said that the pressure was lesser. She said that it was because she was working with stars who were really good in what they were doing. However, despite their status in the entertainment industry, Mika felt their humility.
“Sa Call Me Mother hindi po ako ganoon sobrang napressure kasi yung kasama ko po doon sa pelikula like sila Meme Vice Ganda and Miss Nadine Lustre at lahat ng batikang actors na kasama ko po roon ang gagaling po nila but at the same time mayroon silang humility para ring tulungan yung mga stars na bago na tulad ko. Inaalalayan din talaga nila kaming umarte,” she enthused.
The singer-actress also shared that she was excited being part of this project. Talking about the movie, Mika descibed this a fun yet heartwarming story. It also offers valuable lessons not just for the younger generation, but also for the parents.
She also said that everyone on the set is really professional and fun to work with.
Meanwhile, she admitted the pressure she felt in doing her series. “Sa Hotel 88 naman, doon napi-pressure ako kasi ayaw ko po mabansagan na lumabas lang ng PBB na nagkaroon lang ng project kaya ako napressure po talaga na talaga umattend ng workshops,” she said.
Mika Salamanca also said that she had her solo workshops. She thought that she had to give what was expected of her. With this, she felt pressured.
