Miss Colombia get bashed on Social media after denigrating the presents that she received from sponsors.
Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar draws flak on the social media for reportedly belittling a complimentary gift she got from her hotel.
In a video posted by Pageanthology 101, it shows that Miss Columbia is discussing what she got as a gift from the hotel they’re staying in.
Tovar showed a container of sliced oranges and a bag full of other treats. The beauty queen can be heard on the video that she was speaking in Spanish.
The video of the incident was originally posted by the Colombian beauty as an Instagram story. But many of the netizens were quick and reacted on her video.
It caught the attention of the netizens, especially of Filipino and South American netizens who bashed Tovar for her “disrespectful” and “unappreciative” demeanor.
The Facebook page Pageanthology 101 reposted the video of Miss Colombia and included translation of what she said.
She can be seen on the video pointing at the oranges while saying “little translucent and hallucinogen oranges. Look at that, It’s all orange.”
She also said something offensive about Mexicans: “And what do you think my dears, I’m speaking like a Mexican…” Tovar proceeded to ridicule the other items: “What are those fattening filths? Look at this.”
Many Filipino netizens find the video offensive. Other social media users took to social media to express their reactions to the disrespectful actions of Miss Colombia.
A Filipino netizen commented on the video saying: “Being sweet and kind is indeed a part of genuine Filipino hospitality. It’s our way of saying we like you, we adore and admire you. The girl should be thankful instead. As a Filipino, I’m very disappointed with her.”
Some of the Netizens compared her to Miss Brazil who loved what she got and even posted it proudly online.
According to a report, neither Tovar nor the Miss Universe Organization has reacted about the video.
The video of Miss Colombia was now taking the social media by storm.
