Sofia Andres was filming when the Cebu earthquake happened
Actress Sofia Andres shared her earthquake experience on September 30 while filming in Cebu.
On Tuesday, people in Cebu and nearby provinces were filled with fear after a 6.9 magnitude earthquake. This natural calamity damaged buildings and properties, resulting in the loss of many people’s lives.
Several celebrities showed support and offered prayers for the people of Cebu. Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla extended help for the Cebuanos. She donated food packs and monetary aid.
While the earthquake happened, some celebrities were doing projects in the province. One of them was Sofia Andres, and she shared her experience on social media, based on the article in Inquirer.
In an Instagram Story shared on October 1, the actress shared that she had been filming in Cebu when the earthquake happened. “Terrified, and the panic of being away from family hit me so hard,” Sofia shared.
Even though she had that frightening experience, Sofia decided to still attend her commitment in Dumaguete, where her restaurant with her partner, Daniel Miranda, is located. The actress said that life must go o,n and she would just keep on praying for the best.
Then, in another post, Sofia shared her realization after the calamity. She said that what happened was a reminder of how fragile everything can be.
“When the [6.9] magnitude earthquake struck, I was terrified, the panic, the rush of fear, and the thought that I was away from Manila, away from my family. That feeling of distance in moments like this is something I’ll never forget,” the actress said in her post.
Sofia Andres also shared that she was still in Dumaguete, “hustling and working hard.” The actress said that she is pushing for her dreams she has been committed to, and this journey is shaping her ways she can’t yet see.
The celebrity mom added that sometimes, she wished she could pause. However, life continues to move.
“All I can do is pray for strength, for safety, for peace in the middle of uncertainty. And I remind myself these sacrifices, these risks, this constant hustle it’s all for something bigger than me,” the actress said.
