BUY AND SELL ITEMS – A newly bought motorcycle catches fire along Barangay Rawis-Arimbay in Legazpi City.

Recently, Mark Anthony Arteta, a Facebook user, shared photos of the burning motorcycle. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from the online community.

A motorcycle that was just recently purchased through a buy-and-sell deal went up in flames in Legazpi City on the afternoon of August 26, 2025.

According to Arteta, the motorcycle was bought only hours before the incident. It was intended to be resold for a small profit that could help pay for tuition fees. Unfortunately, before the plan could even take shape, the vehicle suddenly caught fire while on the road.

Despite attempts to save it, the flames consumed the motorcycle until nothing was left but charred remains.

For Arteta, it was not only a financial setback but also a frustrating experience. His supposed to be a source of extra income turned into an unexpected disaster.

Many netizens who saw his post online empathized with his situation, saying they understood how difficult it must have been to watch something valuable go to waste so quickly.

The incident reminds motorcycle owners to be cautious when purchasing second-hand vehicles. Mechanical problems, faulty wiring, or lack of proper inspection can sometimes lead to accidents like this.

While the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, the loss emphasizes the risks involved in buy-and-sell deals, especially when money saved for important needs like education is at stake.
