ARTA Urges Filipinos to Report Irresponsible Government Workers

ARTA is urging the Filipino people to report corrupt officials, lazy employees, and rude government workers.

Recently, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) is encouraging the public to report corrupt officials, lazy employees, and rude government workers who fail to provide proper service.

The call was made during a post-SONA discussion where ARTA Director General Ernesto Perez reminded everyone that public service should always be fast, efficient, and respectful. According to Perez, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants all government offices to deliver better and faster services to the people.

Unfortunately, there are still officials who engage in corrupt practices or employees who are unhelpful and unfriendly. Some are even seen frowning or ignoring citizens seeking help.

To help improve public service, ARTA is asking citizens not to hesitate in reporting such behavior. They assure that complaints will be acted on promptly. Those found guilty may face consequences, especially if their actions delay or block government services.

Perez also shared that ARTA has been effective in handling complaints, with a resolution rate close to 99%. Cases that need further investigation are forwarded to the Office of the Ombudsman or the Civil Service Commission for proper action.

The campaign is part of the government’s effort to build a better and more disciplined public service under the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision. In this new direction, there is no place for laziness, rudeness, or dishonesty in government work.

ARTA encourages everyone to stay alert and help create a more honest and responsive government by reporting wrongdoings. With the cooperation of both the public and the agencies involved, the country can move closer to having a more trustworthy and people-friendly public service system.
