This claim against FL Liza Marcos surfaced online
First Lady Liza Marcos was allegedly mentioned in the death investigation document of Rustan’s heir Paolo Tantoco.
To recall, early this March, FL Liza went to the US to support the Manila International Film Festival. Several celebrities who attended the said event even thanked the First Lady for the support that she gives to the entertainment industry.
After the event, which took place from March 5 to 8, an issue surfaced against the First Lady. Allegations surfaced that she was detained in the US. By that time, news about Paolo Tantoco’s death had circulated on social media and mainstream media.

The Malacañang Palace released a statement on March 13 to debunk the allegation that FL Liza Marcos was detained. It was allegedly because she was with Paolo Tantaco when he died.
The official social media page of the wife of President Bongbong Marcos even shared a photo showing that she had a meeting with the members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
Following that, FL Liza’s social media page continues to share updates on her activities. However, she was accused of sharing edited photos and the Palace challenged her critics to prove that the photos were fake.

Four months after that issue, LA County Medical Examiner confirmed that the Rustan’s heir died from c0caine use. With this, critics of the First Lady were trying to connect her to Tantoco’s death.
Reddit user @Appropriate-Neck4181 shared a screenshot of a document that is allegedly about a death investigation that authorities conducted on March 8.
A portion of the document stated, “Officers entered room and observed Hotel Security performing chest compressions on an unconscious male subject, office took over with life saving measures and subject was pronounced deceased at 1205 hours by paramedic, and the cause is initially suspected to be drug overdose. White powder suspected to be c0caine was seen scattered on tables and the floor. Companions of the victim were summoned to BHPD for questioning, which were Dinah Arroyo Tantoco, Liza Araneta Marcos, and Alexa Miro.” The authenticity of this document is yet to be confirmed.

The post included a screenshot of the identity of the police officers who were reportedly handling the investigation. As of this writing, FL Liza Marcos has not released a statement yet regarding this allegation against her.
