Currently, search retrieval operations are happening in Taal Lake after a “whistleblower” claimed that almost a hundred bodies of cockfight enthusiasts were allegedly thrown into the body of water. The whistleblower implicated Chinese-Filipino businessman Atong Ang and former actress Gretchen Barretto in the case of missing sabungeros. The former actress is known as a close associate of the businessman in his online sabong business.

Alias Totoy claimed that Atong Ang allegedly paid up to P2 million monthly for the killings of the sabungeros. On the part of Gretchen Barretto, a whistleblower claimed that the former actress allegedly agreed to the proposal to deal with the cheating sabungeros.

Recently, PNP chief Police General Nicholas Torre III spoke on the bones retrieved from Taal Lake. Based on a report on Inquirer, he confirmed that both human and animal remains were found in the area.

“We recovered animal remains; there’s also human, and they’re all mixed, so we are looking into it and we are processing and differentiating if the bones are animal or human in origin,” the PNP Chief expressed.

Based on the report, PNP chief Nicolas Torre III said they recovered mixed bones as there is a farm in that area. He stressed that Taal is a place of farming so everything is there.

Previously, Atong Ang said he will file charges against the whistleblower who tagged him in the missing sabungeros case.
