Bahay Kubo Scrunchies – What Is It Made Of?

People online are talking about these Bahay Kubo Scrunchies, and this is why.

BAHAY KUBO SCRUNCHIES – A half-Filipina model and influencer launched the brand, and this is why people are talking about this.

Half-Filipina model and influencer Christina Nadin launched her brand, called Bahay Kubo, a couple of years ago. This is inspired by her time growing up in the Philippines with her mother.

However, recently, the brand has been making a loud buzz online for its extreme prices for a single product.

Based on the brand’s official website, they sell scrunchies and headbands that come with extreme prices for an ordinary Filipino. A velvet scrunchie worth Php 1,700.00 is made of 30% silk and 70% nylon that is “designed to create a soft oversized look whilst providing a firm hold.”

The Bahay Scrunchie is worth Php 2,000.00 and is made with 100% mulberry silk that is also “designed to create a soft oversized look whilst providing a firm hold” and provides other benefits such as reducing frizz and hair breakage.

The Bahay Headband has a price of Php 1,100.00, made with 88% cotton and 12% spandex. The brand also has The Bahay Collection, composed of four scrunchies and four headbands in Sampaguita, Cocoa, Buko, and Isla. The price is Php 11,400.00.

According to people online, the prices are unreasonable, and as buyers, they would rather accordingly buy from other brands with much lower prices, as no matter the prices or the brand, it can still function the same.

Many were taken aback by the higher-than-usual price tag, and they were astonished by the pricing. Moreover, the brand’s name and the pricing of their products are not aligned and conflicting, as per people online. The term “bahay kubo” refers to the simple house in the Philippines, which symbolizes simplicity and modesty, something that their products’ prices do not represent.
