Willie Revillame “Resume” As Senatorial Candidate Elicits Funny Reactions

Netizens reacted to this resume of Willie Revillame

Veteran TV host Willie Revillame is running for senator and a social media page created this “resume” which garnered funny reactions from the Philippines.

To recall, Willie first said publicly that he received an offer to run for Senator in 2022. He personally had a discussion with former President Rodrigo Duterte.

At that time, he said at that time that he had no plan to enter politics because he admitted that he knew nothing about being a public servant.

However, last year, Willie Revillame started hinting at the possibility of being a politician. Eventually, he filed his certificate of candidacy for senator. This garnered various reactions from netizens.

After the filing of COC, he went viral because of his answer when asked about his plan if he gets elected. He said that he has no plans yet since he is not yet elected. With this, he received criticism from the online community.

Just recently, the Supreme Student Council – BatStateU Alangilan Campus Facebook page shared the resumes of senatorial candidates and Willie’s resume received 93 thousand laugh reactions.

It can be noticed that since Willie has no experience yet as a public servant, he has not authored or co-authored laws, or proposed any bill. There was also no data found when it comes to his views about certain social issues. Under the educational background, it was only written that he studied dentistry but he did not finish.

For the policies he is focused on, it was written, “poverty alleviation,” “social welfare,” and “more benefits for senior citizens.”
