Jomari Yllana was asked about his fellow Gwapings Mark Anthony Fernandez
Actor-politician Jomari Yllana has this funny reaction to the viral video of actor Mark Anthony Fernandez.
Jomari and Mark were together in the 90s boy group Gwapings with Eric Fructuoso and later on, they were joined by Jao Mapa. They were the matinee idols of their generation and they did several projects together.
Because of their togetherness at that time, they became close friends, and that friendship continued even years after and they went separate ways in their careers.
In a recent interview with Abante, Jomari Yllana was asked about the viral video of Mark Anthony Fernandez which circulated last year. Mark’s name became a trending topic on social media at that time because of the leaked video of him doing something that was supposed to be done privately.
Rumors surfaced that because of that leaked video, he lost an acting project. Later on, Mark Anthony admitted that he was the man in the viral video.
When asked about this, Jomari jokingly said, “Syempre, ang laki ng reaction ko.” This made the reporters in front of him laugh.
Jomari also said, “Anong nangyari dyan? Hindi ka naman kalaki noon.” Then, a louder laughter from the reporters was heard. The actor-politician, on the other hand, said, “Joke!” and gestured peace signs.
In a more serious tone, he said that they have been like this then and now. As they were the “alaga” of the late talent manager Douglas Quijano, they formed that certain bond between them.
Jomari said that they would make fun of each other but he said, “dikit-dikit na yung mga pusod namin.” Although they seldom see each other, their friendship is never gone.
When a reporter asked, “nagulat ka rin, sumasabog, di ba?” Jomari Yllana jokingly said, “yes, very impressive.” Another round of loud laughter from the reporters was heard.
