Update on Pope Francis Health Condition Now amid Hospitalization
POPE FRANCIS – The Holy See Press Office gave an update to the media regarding the condition of the Roman Pontiff in the hospital now.
Millions of Roman Catholics and several Catholic churches across the globe are currently on a prayer brigade for the Pope. Last February 14, he was brought to the hospital over chest pains and he remains confined in a hospital in Gemelli in Rome, Italy until now.

Pope Francis was diagnosed with pneumonia which affects his breathing. He also had a part of his lungs taken when he was young and it also has an effect on his health condition now.
Amid his current condition, the Roman Pontiff previously told two (2) people close to him that he might not make it this time. He’s been through several hospitalizations in the past but the 88-year-old Pope believes that he won’t live longer.

Amid the belief of the Pope that he may not live longer, preparations for his wake and burial has started. The Swiss Guard is reportedly under a curfew for the possible demise of the Roman Pontiff amid his condition now.

Swiss newspaper Blick also reported that Vatican is already preparing for a funeral rehearsal for Pope Francis in case he dies. Previously, the Pope has said that his burial site is ready.
Amid how open Pope Francis is on the reality of death, Catholic churches and leaders continue to encourage the devotees to pray for the Sovereign Pontiff’s recovery. Recently, the Holy See Press Office gave an update on the condition of the Pope now.
Based on a report on Pep, the Holy See Press Office told the media that the health condition of Pope Francis is showing improvement. The Roman Pontiff’s fever is gone and his “hemodynamic parameters remain stable”.
According to the Holy See Press Office, the Pope has received the Eucharist this morning and he has dedicated himself to work activities. The office’s director, Matteo Bruni, explained that the Pope has a “focal pneumonia” — which means that only limited portions of the lungs of the Pope is affected by infection.
