Oil Price Hike Set for Tuesday (February 18, 2025)

Fuel Companies Set to Implement Oil Price Hike on Tuesday (February 18, 2025)

Various fuel companies in the country are set to implement oil price hike this coming Tuesday (February 18, 2025).

Several major gasoline stations, including Shell Pilipinas, Seaoil, Caltex, Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz, have announced price hikes for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Gasoline and diesel prices will go up by P0.80 per liter, while kerosene will see an increase of P0.10 per liter.

Cleanfuel’s price changes will take effect at 4:01 p.m., while other companies will adjust their prices at 6 a.m. The price increase follows a small reduction in fuel prices last week.

Gasoline and diesel prices were cut by P0.10 per liter, and kerosene by P0.30 per liter. Despite these reductions, fuel prices have continued to rise in the year, with increases of P2.65 per liter for gasoline, P4.80 for diesel, and P4.80 for kerosene as of January 28, 2025.

The ongoing global events, such as tensions in the Middle East and the impact of U.S. sanctions on Iran and Russia have led to higher oil prices. While many companies have already announced the price hike, others are expected to follow soon.

As of last week’s rollback, the price of gasoline in Metro Manila ranges from P52 to P77.87 per liter, while diesel costs between P50 and P74.60 per liter. Kerosene prices are now between P72.54 and P84.70 per liter.
