Bela Padilla amused netizens with this song performance
Multi-hyphenate Bela Padilla had a viral performance of the Aegis song Basang-basa Sa Ulan with different lyrics and here’s what she said about this.
Bela is one of the most talented female celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry. Aside from being an actress, she is also a writer and director. The actress also ventured into vlogging in which she would share her talent in storytelling featuring different aspects of her life.
Currently, she is one of the guest hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime. Just recently, Pinoy rock band Aegis guested on the show.
During the banter, Kim Chiu asked Bela Padilla to sing one of the famous songs of the band. The latter said that almost every Filipino has sung the song Basang-basa Sa Ulan.
She even asked the band’s vocalist Juliet Sunot to hold hands and sing with her. Then, in the middle of teh song, instead of “Sana may luha pa…,” Bela sang, “Sana may bukas pa…”
Darren Espanto immediately said to her that it was a different song. Everyone in the studio laughed. Bela quipped that it was a medley.
In her Instagram post about this, Bela shared some photos and videos taken on that day and her caption talked about her viral performance of the Aegis song.
“To all my friends I’ve sung “basang basa sa ulan” to AND with over the years: …why did no one tell me my lyrics were wrong this whole time?!” the actress wrote in the caption of her post.
One of the netizens had this amusing comment about her song performance. “Life will never be fair daw.. you can’t have it all Miss Bela @bela maganda ka na daw.. ipaubaya mo na lang daw sa iba ung pagkanta. HAHAHA!” Instagram user @dyosajoe commented.
Meanwhile, in an episode of the noontime show earlier this month, Bela Padilla introduced her Swiss boyfriend Norman Bay to her fellow hosts. The latter had a funny interaction with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.
