2 Teens Pushed Off Cliff as Group of Minors Clashed in Cagayan de Oro

A violent altercation among a group of minors in Cagayan de Oro City caught public attention when a shocking video surfaced online.

Recently, a group of youth had a violent clash in Cagayan de Oro City and two of them were pushed off form a cliff.  The video shows a shirtless boy pushing another wearing white off a cliff along the Coastal Road.

After a few moments, the person who recorded the incident rushed to the scene and discovered the boy who had fallen. While searching for a missing cellphone belonging to the victim, they realized that another boy had also fallen off the cliff, although this second incident wasn’t captured on video.

Local authorities promptly responded to the incident. According to police reports, the two minors were merely relaxing in the area when the group approached them and initiated the attack.

The family of one victim mentioned they were completely unprovoked, making the attack even more alarming.

The Cagayan de Oro City Police identified those responsible for the assault and assured the public that they are conducting follow-up operations to ensure justice. Although the victims’ families have opted not to press charges, the police remain vigilant.

“Itong dalawang menor de edad nagpahangin doon ayon sa kaniyang stepmother bigla lang daw nilapitan at inatake nitong grupo ng mga menor de edad,” Cagayan de Oro City Police spokesperson Police Lieutenant Colonel Evan Viñas said.

As a preventive measure, they have strengthened their presence in the area to preventsimilar incidents.

The incident elicited discussions about the safety of minors and the need for better measures to prevent such violent confrontations.
