Former MMDA Chairman To Replace De Lima’s Post
De Lima’s post to be replace by former MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino as he asked Senatorial Electoral Tribunal (SET) on Thursday (October 06, 2016)
On Thursday, former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino asked SET to removed Senator Leila De Lima from the senate, citing poll fraud basis, and he wants to replace the senator’s post.
Last May 09, 2016 election, Leila De Lima took the final slot in the 12th place while Tolentino is on the 13th place and lose the senatorial slot. There are 1.3 million votes separate De Lima and Tolentino. Frances attend at the Supreme Court (SC) for the preliminary conference of the case about the double transmission of election results.
Tolentino has 5 days to give a comment regarding De Lima’s response to his comment. The senator is now facing issues and controversies regarding the allegation of her involvement in illegal drug trade happened at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
