Wedding soon? Celebrity couple Sofia Andres and Daniel Miranda have been together for many years now. They actually have a daughter together named Zoe who just recently celebrated her 5th birthday.
To recall, mid of November, online discussions speculating about the couple’s wedding started because of their photos. In a previous article, Sofia and Daniel’s wedding rumors started the actress heart-reacted to the comments of netizens asking if the photos were for a prenup.
While the rumors are still floating, some photos shared recently fueled this. The photos were taken in the new house of the actress and she was with the family of Daniel. Her partner’s mother was there and people online quickly speculated that the incident must be for a “pamamanhikan”.
As much as we all know, in Philippine culture, “pamamanhikan” is a pre-wedding activity where the groom’s family visits the bride’s family to formally ask for her hand in marriage. This is an essential part of the culture and also, it shows respect for the family of the bride. This also serves as an opportunity for the two families to get together and know each other and discuss the wedding plans.

Meanwhile, in an interview last May, Sofia was asked why she was not married yet and for her, it wasn’t the right time yet. With things only temporary in this world and with changes that remain as the only constant, people could never know what happens next and for her, marriage is not something to rush about.
“I was telling my partner, Daniel, kasi he’s not complete also, his family. So if we’re not ready, we don’t have to rush it,” she said.
