Seasoned actor Gardo Versoza had this reminder to his fellow celebrities regarding politics which was a statement from the late Comedy King Dolphy.
Dolphy is one of the most loved showbiz personalities in the Philippine entertainment industry. His popularity goes beyond his death as many people are still remembering his work and the attitude he showed to everyone.
People in the entertainment industry are still looking up to him as a person and as a celebrity, just like Gardo.
In a recent Instagram post that Gardo Versoza shared, he featured the statement that Dolphy had about being urged to run for a government position.
“Kung ako ay papasok sa pulitika, isa lang ang ikinatatakot ko, ito ay ang “manalo” dahil pag doon na ako… baka mapahiya lang ako kasi hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko. At sayang lang ang pagboto sa akin ng mga tao,” Dolphy said in a statement.
Gardo simply captioned his post with folded hand emojis. This received support from netizens including seasoned broadcaster Arnold Clavio.
“TAMA ! Buti pa si Dolphy , may utak at puso!” the Kapuso news anchor wrote in the comment section and this received over a hundred likes. Netizens also criticized celebrities who easily decide to be in politics.
