Marco Gumabao officially enters the political arena
Actor Marco Gumabao filed his certificate of candidacy for Camarines Sur Fourth District Congressman.
On October 1, the election season in the Philippines officially started for the 2025 elections as COC filing commenced. Prominent political figures filed their COCs and even popular showbiz personalities like Marco.
The actor has spent years in the entertainment industry. From teen roles, Marco did some mature roles on TV, as well as, in movies. Among his most recognized roles was in the movie Just A Stranger with A-list star Anne Curtis.
The actor’s acting career is flourishing and his love life is also blooming. He is currently in a relationship with actress Cristine Reyes.
Marco Gumabao is set to add another description under his name. The actor decided to enter the world of politics. Based on the report from Brigada News FM, Marco filed his COC on October 1.
He intends to run for Fourth District Representative of Camarines Sur. He belongs to Team One CamSur with Governor Luigi Villafuerte, the boyfriend of actress Yassi Pressman. The actress also showed support for Gov. Luigi. Marco shared posts on his Instagram Stories taken during the filing of COC.
The actor also shared a photo with his girlfriend. He was happy that Cristine Reyes was able to make it. “Lovey made it [red heart emoji],” he wrote in the caption of his post.
Meanwhile, it was recently rumored that Marco Gumabao and Cristine Reyes broke up. It was because netizens noticed that the actress did not share any birthday post for the actor. However, the couple proved that there was no truth in the breakup rumors.
Marco shared photos showing that he and Cristine celebrated his birthday together. Cristine also shared a birthday post for Marco on her Instagram story. With this, she debunked the breakup rumors.
