Heart Evangelista shared this post after Balay Dako went viral
Tagaytay restaurant Balay Dako became a trending topic on social media because of the recent incident that a netizen shared and this received a reaction from Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista.
A disappointed lady customer shared on social media what happened when she brought her Aspin to the supposed “pet-friendly” restaurant. She was expecting that her dog Yoda would be allowed to enter the establishment.
However, she was told that her dog did not fit in the required size but she noticed that larger dogs were allowed to enter. Then, she was asked about her dog’s breed.
Following this, Balay Dako released a statement. The restaurant apologized and promised to review their pet policy to avoid misunderstanding with the customers. It also promised to educate its staff members regarding this matter.
In a recent Instagram Story, Heart Evangelista shared her reaction to this issue, based on the article in Inquirer. The Kapuso star is the owner of an Aspin or “Asong Pinoy.” Her pet is named Panda. Heart treats her dog with care and respect. Previously, she even let Panda wear her expensive Bvlgari necklace.
“Aspin Society Elite Pres. [Panda Ongpauco Escudero] Sending LOVE to Yoda,” Heart wrote in the caption of her post featuring Panda’s photo.
On an Instagram page dedicated to Panda, a photo of the Aspin had this caption: “Anong walang breed ???! Mas may breeding pa ako sa Inyo ha.Loka mga to. Hello sa mga kasali sa Aspin Society Elite.”
Heart wrote in the comment section telling her “anak” to invite Yoda for tea. In another comment, the Kapuso actress quipped, “#AspinSocietyELITE of the Elite!! Go anak. Mind your [vocabulary], Sayang ang masters degree.”
On X, formerly Twitter, Balay Dako became one of the top trending topics on Tuesday. Some netizens expressed criticism against the restaurant while some pointed out the now-deleted rules when it comes to customers who bring their pets.
