In a post, Andrea Brillantes pens a message to the characters she loved.
ABS-CBN actress Andrea Brillantes bid goodbye to “High Street” and here’s her message to her characters Sky and Luna.
“High Street” ends with death of Sky Love, the character played by Andrea Brillantes in “Senior High” and its sequel “High Street”. “High Street” is a popular Filipino drama series led by the said actress and central story of the series revolve around love, ambition, and personal growth.
Sky’s death in the series created a significant and emotional twist. It created a profound impact to the end of the series. In the episode, Tori, a role played by Dimples Romana, attempted to shoot Gino, the character of Juan Karlos. Sky saw what was about to happen and despite being injured, she put her life on the line and used herself to catch the bullet.
The authorities tried to save them but it was too late already for Sky. It was an unexpected ending.
In a new post, Brillantes penned a message bidding goodbye to the series she loved. She thanked first Deo Endrinal for trusting her and for believing that this project will make an impact to the current generation.
From the start, she knew the stories are for the people and that they will “move hearts, open minds, and raise awareness about the struggles we face but are often afraid to talk about”.
For Sky Love Cruz, she thanked her for her being resilient, determined, empathetic, and fearless. She also left a reminder to all the Sky Loves out there and that is to protect themselves first.
For Luna Amore Cruz, she is her reminder that kindness is the best weapon.
In the same post, she also did not forget to thank the directors, staff, and crew as they were the ones who made this story come to life.
“I know the ending might not be what everyone expected, but I hope it serves as a lesson that some things need to end, and sacrifices must be made for the greater good, so we can all start again,” she added.
