Gerald Anderson will star in a new series
Actor Gerald Anderson talked about his TV comeback with the new Kapamilya series Nobody.
Gerald has done a variety of TV series in his almost two decades in showbiz. He is known as the “action drama prince” in the Philippine entertainment industry. The last teleserye that he did was the 2022 drama series A Family Affair.
After two years of his TV break, the Kapamilya actor is set to star in a new series and this was recently announced.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Gerald Anderson shared that ABS-CBN’s JRB Production is highly collaborative and he was able to pitch his idea for his role and the story.
“This is going to be a beautiful journey of one person whom you wouldn’t know who he really is — is he a vigilante, a hero, does he have integrity?” he said.
Gerald also said that a lot of surprises will happen in the series. The actor shared that this is a dream project for him and promised that this is going to be a great show. Talking about his character, he said that he is someone from law enforcement. He stressed that he is not a coastguard in the series but it is something related.
Gerald will undergo training for firing for his role even though he already has undergone army training as a reservist with the rank of Auxiliary Commander at the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
They wanted to present a realistic portrayal. He teased that the story mirrors the situations that the government and the country are going through with outside forces meddling.
“This story, I promise, will inspire you. I can’t say it’s true to life, but it’s based on things happening in real life,” he said. The actor also shared that this new series is something different from what he has done before.
Gerald Anderson said that his character is a nobody and many people feel they are nobody and there are doubts. For him, a lot of people can relate to this. Aside from his character, the actor said that his journey in doing this project is what made it special. He also highlighted the storyline which is about “sacrifice, loyalty, integrity, family, and the sacrifices made by my character’s family.”
