Advances in the show business has been going on for a long time now based on some claims from some veterans but it’s not openly talked about with the public. However, with the recent case involving Sandro Muhlach and two independent contractors of GMA, a door has been opened to view this sensitive matter.
The case has been filed already and is subjected to legal proceedings that would involve investigations, legal arguments, and judicial decisions.
As for this matter being the trending topic online and among the most controversial, some people stepped up to share theirs and one of them is actress Rita Avila. In an Instagram post, she shared her thoughts about it.
In a previous post, she shared that with stories circling around online, the mere viewers are just mere viewers as only the victim and perpetrators know the truth. All she could ever wish was for them to be better.
In the following post is where she shared her experience. She is sad for the victims but based on her experience, she did not experience it with Seiko Films, Viva Films, and in TV. She was mocked for doing daring scenes before but that was it. The line ends at that point as she did not experience any advances from anyone when she became an actress.
However, an isolated case happened and this occurred before she joined show business. There was this time when a director was selling her off to a producer. He was forcing himself and as per her words, “Pilit humahalik KADIRI. NAKAKATAKOT”.
She informed her mother about this but she received no reaction in return. Her mother was cool about it and later on, she found out that her mother was actually getting something from that activity.
“Minsan ay sa sarili ko pang cousin in law niya ako tinulak. Mabuti na lang ay naka-iwas ako. Kahiya-hiya,” she added.
