Gerald Santos shared a lengthy post to explain his side
Singer-actor Gerald Santos has these clarifications on his contract with GMA and the supposed differing claims.
To recall, GMA Network stressed in a statement that Gerald asked to be released from his contract. The singer-actor said that after he revealed the alleged harassment he shared, he was given lesser projects until nothing came and this pushed him to ask to be released.
GMA Network also said that what Gerald said during the Senate hearing that he was r@ped differed from what he stated in his complaint letter in 2010.
In a recent Facebook post, Gerald Santos made some clarifications. The singer-actor showed the letter he sent to the management asking to be released from being under the GMA Artist Center but not as a Kapuso.
He just wanted to be under a different management that could negotiate for him to find projects for him as he was not given any at that time. Gerald shared that no projects were offered for four months until the late German Moreno let him join the Walang Tulugan variety show.
That was also the time when he filed his complaint against the musical director but he was not heard, so, he decided to bring this matter to the higher management.
“Hindi ko po sinabi na I’m totally banned sa network, but seems like ‘virtually banned’ ako. At syempre madali po nila yang maide-deny dahil ito po ay nangyayari lamang sa mid-level management ng network na sila sila narin ang magtatakipan,” Gerald said.
The singer-actor also said that when he was already in Walang Tulugan, someone asked Kuya Germs why Gerald was there and that he should be removed from the show.
Gerald Santos also addressed GMA Network’s statement that he had a different claim during the Senate hearing and a different one was written on his complaint. The singer-actor said, “Sa sinasabi nila na naiiba ang aking complaint na ipinadala sa kanila, I will tackle that sa court of law.”
He added that he was just 15 years old when that incident happened and he was so scared and nervous, and at the same time, he felt ashamed and was still in denial.
